Barr’s Hill School is an academy part of The Futures Trust which is the admission authority. It participates in the local authority co-ordinated scheme for In-Year and Year 7 admissions. For general information about our Year 7 offer, visit The Bridge.

The scheme complies with the DfE School Admissions Code 2021

Oversubscription criteria

If there are more requests for a school place than there are places available within the school’s admission number, places will be allocated in accordance with the oversubscription criteria. Please refer to the relevant Admissions Policy for full details. 

School appeals

If your child has not been offered a place at Barr’s Hill School you have the right of appeal against the decision. Appeals are administered by the Local Authority and heard by an independent panel. To find full details of how to appeal and the Appeals Timetable, please click here.
