Grade 4 (pro rata salary £17,528 – £20,537 per annum)

37 hours per week term time only plus 1 week (39 weeks)

We are seeking to appoint a highly professional and competent individual to work supervising students in the absence of teachers and provide a complementary service to that provided by teachers and pastoral staff. You will contribute to the work of the school in raising standards of attainment. This role is highly suitable for an aspiring teacher looking to gain classroom experience.

You will be committed to the school’s aims; celebrating diversity, delivering quality and striving for success.

Relevant experience of working in an education context is preferred but not essential.

As a qualified teacher you will support our drive to create a culture of achievement in Modern Foreign Languages and an aptitude for overcoming barriers to learning. Our students study a wide range of academic and vocational courses and access wider opportunities outside the classroom.

Staff at Barr’s Hill School are supported by experienced teachers, Middle and Senior Leaders who commit generously of their time to train and develop colleagues. The School offers focused CPD for all staff based on their future aspirations, and has a proven track record of developing excellent teachers and future leaders. The School fully funds Masters research and offers a range of outstanding leadership development opportunities, including collaboration across the Trust. We are seeking to appoint a professional and motivated colleague to work as part of the team responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout Barr’s Hill School.

You will be expected to undertake cleaning duties in an efficient and effective manner and to adopt a customer focussed approach to your work. You will be committed to building brighter futures and able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding both of working practices, equipment and materials in relation to cleaning, and of the importance of health and safety and hygiene in the school environment.

The current working pattern for the role is 3.00pm until 6.00pm Monday to Friday – this may be subject to change in accordance with the needs of the school.
