Students who select to do Health and Social Care as an option will learn about different life stages and explore how humans develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
They will have the opportunity to investigate how different life events and choices impact on growth and development and discover how people adapt to life events and cope with making changes. Students will also explore the social care services that are available, and look at the care values the sector has to use to make sure people get the care and protection that they need. Students are able to apply their learning to real-life scenarios and work through components that build on each other so they can grow in confidence.
