Post 16 Select is proud to work in exclusive partnership with Coventry Rugby and The Futures Trust to provide an exceptional dual-pathway for ambitious, state-educated rugby players.
Coventry Rugby is committed to expanding high-level rugby and academic opportunities for young people, particularly those from state schools or non-traditional rugby backgrounds. Today, over 75% of Coventry Rugby’s academy players are educated outside the independent school system.
Through our partnership, players can combine academic success with elite sports development. The programme includes:
A Level or BTEC study options, delivered by experienced Post 16 Select staff
12+ hours of rugby development per week, built directly into students’ academic timetable
Coaching from Coventry Rugby’s high-performance team
Weekly fixtures against leading schools such as Warwick, Bromsgrove and Rugby School
Outstanding opportunities for progression into professional sport, university and future careers
