RE: Extreme weather update – school fully open
Thank you for your continued support during this period of hot weather. Throughout the day we have continued to monitor the situation in school, and have put additional measures in place to allow the school to remain fully open for tomorrow with the following in place:
• Lessons re-roomed to cooler classrooms
• Relaxed uniform measures to continue with students permitted to wear school PE kit or uniform with no blazer/tie
• No outdoor PE lessons in the afternoon.
We will also continue to have a different provision in the Canteen with hot food available during break time and ‘grab and go’ cold food available during lunch-time. We would continue to advise that students bring water bottles, sun cream and hats into school with them, and remain indoors or in shaded areas during social times.
