MOSELEY PRIMARY ‘SAVE THE EGG’ AS PART OF SCIENCE WEEK AT BARR’S HILL SCHOOL

As part of Science Week, which was themed on ‘journeys’, Year 6 students from Moseley Primary came in to complete a 90 minute challenge to ‘save the egg’. This involved teams using their knowledge of forces to create a protection capsule using no more than £100 so an egg dropped from a height of approximately 8 metres did not break.

The session was delivered by our fantastic Science teachers, Miss Morris and Mrs Hull. The 29 students who participated did ‘egg’tremely well and created some ‘egg’citing designs. Unfortunately only one team did not ‘crack’ under the pressure. Their primary teacher stated ‘the children absolutely loved it and were still talking about it as I let them out to go home this afternoon. One child said it was the best day ever!’
