Barr’s Hill students heading to top universities
Under the most challenging of circumstances we are delighted that our students will finish their 7 Year Journey with us having secured top university places. In one of the most competitive years in memory nationally for courses at top universities, Barr’s Hill students proved that they are in high demand.
Students leave us to read everything from Law, to Medicine and Aerospace Engineering to Architecture. We are very proud that ALL of our hard working Year 13 students are progressing to university. Amongst many others, Kajaanan leaves us to read Law at Oxford, Ellie will study Medicine at Plymouth, Marina progresses to read Law at Warwick, Ana-Maria will read Psychology at Kings College London, Ben leaves us to read Economics at Warwick and Harry will study Aerospace Engineering at Coventry.
Well done to all our students whose hard work and dedicated study throughout all the challenges of the last 18 months has earned them the next step to their Brighter Future. We are incredibly proud of them all.
It was poignant that as we said goodbye to our superb Year 13’s, we welcomed our new Year 7 students this week for their ‘Movin on up’ week – part of their Bridge to the Future programme designed to make their transition to secondary school as smooth as possible. They will join The Bridge, our dedicated Year 7 ‘mini school’ ion September and we look forward to working with them during the course of their 7 Year Journey with us. They have big shoes to fill but can look at the latest students to leave us and know with certainty that Barr’s Hill students are amongst the best in the country.
