Barr’s Hill School Celebrates its ‘GOOD’ Ofsted Judgement

Students and staff at Barr’s Hill School are celebrating a very positive visit from Ofsted which has resulted in the school’s judgement being upgraded to GOOD.

Inspectors were impressed by the school’s high teaching standards stating:
“Teachers have high expectations of pupils and foster strong and respectful relationships. They have good subject knowledge and plan lessons that use a range of innovative strategies to stimulate pupils’ interest and curiosity.”

“Outcomes for pupils are markedly improved. This is because of effective teaching and a newly designed, balanced curriculum. Teachers track pupils’ performance rigorously and they put effective support in place when they fall behind and need to catch up.”
