Year 13 Career Ready students Graduate!

careerOn Monday 13th March, the Year 13 Career Ready students attended their Graduation event at the MTC Ansty, where they were presented with their Certificates by Dave Davies of Barclays, Chair of the Barr’s Hill Career Ready Local Advisory Board.

Career Ready is a UK-wide charity linking employers with schools and colleges to open up the world of work to young people. It offers a structured programme of employer engagement which includes visits to local employers, classes delivered by business people, the provision of an individual business mentor for each student on the programme and the opportunity for students to take part in summer internship opportunities. Barr’s Hill are proud to be able to offer the Career Ready programme to our sixth form students and would like to extend congratulations to the students who graduated this year, having given up their own time to further their employability skills.  They are:

Ahmad Ali

Lujin Cui

Romina Javandel

Suzi Kaur

Akosua Offei

Sakeriye Omar

Tanya Tiwana

Many thanks also to the many business people who have been involved in the Career Ready programme at Barr’s Hill, making it such a success.  We wish our students every success in their forthcoming exams and in their future careers.
