Visitor flys from Austrailia to dig up family history at Barr’s Hill
Chris Ansted flew all the way from Austrailia to visit our school last week to dig up some of his family history.
Chris’ family use to own the land on which Barr’s Hill School is now on back in the late 1800’s.
His family use to own a silk brokers firm, creating raw silk. As well as working, the family lived on the land in a house.
Chris said: “It’s so great to see what the land looks like now and that my family use to live and work here. Barr’s Hill School looks fantastic, the students and staff are so welcoming!”
