We are pleased that you have chosen Barr’s Hill School for your child’s educational journey. Our central aim is to provide as rich a life as possible for every student, so that our school fosters fulfilment, happiness and success; a preparation for life as a good adult in society. Working with you, to ensure that your child achieves all that they are capable of, is very important to us.
There is something for everyone at Barr’s Hill. Sport, music and drama are all strong and there are many more activities to keep pupils busy. Debating, the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and the National Challenge programme are all very popular.
The ethos of Barr’s Hill is built around a set of core values: being prepared, respectful, individual, determined and excellent. We provide emotional and spiritual support for our students in various ways, with PSHE presentations and assemblies, Form Tutors, School Councils and mentoring. Our aim is that pupils will achieve at the highest level in a caring and warm environment, one in which relationships between student and staff are friendly, respectful and conducive to the fulfillment of every individual’s potential.
We encourage you to contact your child’s Form Tutor if you have any questions or queries.
