Author Visits The School
Friday, 24 September 2010 15:00

David WhitleyOn Thursday 23rd September David Whitley, a young up-and-coming author visited Barr’s Hill to talk to a number of pupils in years 7, 8 and 9. The morning was a great success with pupils asking David lots of questions about his books (The Midnight Charter and The Children of the Lost).

We were also joined by a number of other Coventry schools. Not only did David talk to pupils about his inspirations for becoming an author but pupils also had the chance to purchase his books and even get them signed by him!

More photos of the visit can be found in the Gallery.

"Annie" Show Success
Friday, 24 September 2010 12:14

We took 40 year 7 students down to the Belgrade Theatre on Thursday evening to support Becky Gaskell (7J) who is performing as one of the orphans in 'Annie'. We all had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the show. We all thought Becky was the star! A big thank-you to Ms Marks, Ms Gilbert and Mr. Lavie for accompanying the children despite a long day including our 'Meet your child's tutor evening.'
