Duke of Edinburgh – Bronze teams out and about in Kenilworth
May brought us the annual navigation walk of the students working towards their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. 4 teams undertook a 6/7km circular walk in the Kenilworth countryside in order to practice their navigation skills. As part of the Award, teams must demonstrate they can competently map read as on their expeditions they independently travel a distance on foot carrying their equipment for camping. All teams successfully completed their challenge and were able to recognise strengths as well as areas for improvement in their map reading/team skills.
Thanks goes to Mr.Joseph, Mrs. Rasidovic and Mr. Winter for assisting on the walk during their Saturdays.
