Creating Art – Coventry Fire Station Hoarding Competition
Over 2 days, 8 Art Academy students from years 8 and year 10 have created a mural for Willmott Dixon Construction that will be an entry in to the Ivor Goodsite Hoarding Competition 2018, which will be judged later this month.
The 10m x 3m hoarding board, designed by Ellie O’Brien and Alex Cleall, represents the phoenix rising from the ashes. Showcasing a city skyline showing the three spires, university buildings and whittle arches. As well as places of religion, the mural celebrates Coventry as a city, the fire service and the construction industry.
The mural can be seen on the side of the new construction of the fire station on Radford Road close to the ring road roundabout.
Special thanks to Mr.Sharratt and Mr. Sohal, as well as Manpreet Chana, Maria Wilkes and Jamie Jones from Willmott Construction.
